High Street Residential Announces 309-Unit Residential Tower in Downtown Houston

High Street Residential, the residential subsidiary of Trammell Crow Company, today announced the groundbreaking of a 43-story residential tower in downtown Houston. Located at 808 Crawford Street, the building will include 309 residential apartment homes and a robust array of resident amenities. The project is slated to deliver in late 2022. 

The property will offer a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes, including 16 two-story townhome-style units on the 15th through 34th floors and four two-story penthouses on the 41st floor with breathtaking views. Residents will enjoy finishes that include nine- to 10-foot ceiling heights, floor-to-ceiling windows, blackout shades, chef-quality kitchens with gas ranges and quartz countertops, premium European-made custom cabinetry, spa-like bathroom features, and spacious custom closets.

At 808 Crawford Street, residents will have access to three levels of amenities, including a rooftop pool with indoor and outdoor lounge areas and a cantilevered observation deck for residents that rises more than 430 feet above street level. Amenities on the 14th floor will include a lounge and clubroom, complete with a catering kitchen; a state-of-the-art fitness center; two guest suites to accommodate short-term stays of residents’ guests; an enhanced work-from-home center, offering conference rooms and coworking arrangements; an outdoor fireplace and seating area; BBQ grills; a yoga terrace; and multiple seating areas with views overlooking nearby Discovery Green. Additional amenities include a complimentary coffee and refreshment bar; a covered dog run and indoor pet spa with grooming stations; round-the-clock valet parking, as well as concierge and security services; bike storage; and private conditioned storage.

The 808 Crawford Street project is adjacent to Discovery Green, a 12-acre urban park in Downtown Houston. The property will be the only luxury high-rise in the area that offers direct access to the Houston skywalk/tunnel system, providing residents all-weather access to most of downtown’s major employers. The building will also provide convenient access to a specialty/gourmet grocer located just two blocks away, and is within easy walking distance of Downtown Houston’s prominent dining and its  entertainment  and sports venues, such as Minute Maid Park, Toyota Center, BBVA Compass Stadium, GreenStreet, and amenities within the Marriott Marquis and Hilton Americas hotels.

The construction loan for the project is provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited, New York Branch. Ziegler Cooper Architects is the project’s architect, while Andres Construction is the general contractor. Other design partners include Walter P Moore, SCA Consulting Engineers, Kudela & Weinheimer, Wylie Consulting Engineers, and Waldrop + Nichols.
