High Street Residential (HSR), the residential subsidiary of Trammell Crow Company, and JV Partner, Daiwa House Industry Co, Ltd., broke ground on River Oaks at Westheimer, located at 2311 Westheimer Road in Houston. The 12-story community, which will rise just east of the intersection of Westheimer Road and Kirby Drive, will include 209 luxury apartment homes and approximately 2,900 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The first units are slated to deliver in Q1 2025.

River Oaks at Westheimer will feature apartment homes that average approximately 1,400 square feet and include upgraded finishes and appliances, offering residents ample space and un-matched functionality. A mix of one- to three-bedroom layouts will be available. Residents will enjoy a thoughtfully curated collection of amenities, including a work-from-home suite on the mezzanine, complete with solo- and co-working spaces and a reading room, as well as additional conference and social spaces; a state-of-the-art fitness center with a yoga/Pilates room; a resort-style pool deck with spa-inspired hot and cold plunge pools; an upper-floor sky lounge; an indoor pet-grooming room; an outdoor dog run; bike storage; private garages; and additional tenant storage spaces. The residences additionally provide tools to practice living a sustainable lifestyle, offering EV charging and energy efficient plumbing and lighting fixtures.

“This exciting new development, located at the nexus of River Oaks and Upper Kirby, is one of Houston’s most walkable nodes, offering a vibrant live-work-play community that aims to reinforce the neighborhood’s existing charm and amenities. The project will bring the vibrancy of Kirby Drive further East, especially as you factor in our team’s commitment to bring a coffee and/or light bistro retail user to the project’s available retail space,” shared Yewande Fapohunda, Principal at High Street Residential. “River Oaks at Westheimer will offer residents a refined and boutique hospitality-styled experience with spacious apartment homes and contemporary interior design rooted in Houston’s architectural traditions.”

A collaboration of prominent Houston-based design groups, River Oaks at Westheimer will deliver an elevated living experience. Design features include open-air indoor atria, creating connections between vibrant interiors and verdant exterior streetscape, and an architectural stairway connecting the retail coffee/light bistro concept to the co-working suite on the mezzanine level. The project architect, Zeigler Cooper Architects, worked closely with renowned Rottet Studio for interior design. The upscale interiors will transition fluidly to lively exterior landscapes designed by Kudela & Weinheimer Landscape Architects.

Additional project partners include Jordan & Skala Engineering, VSM-Squared Structural Engineers, Jackson Walker LLP., Kimley Horn, and Hoar Construction acting as the general contractor. Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank is providing construction financing.

Centrally located and at the gateway of one of Houston most prestigious neighborhoods, River Oaks at Westheimer offers convenient access to the city’s top social and professional hubs without any compromises to lifestyle, space, and design.
